Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) is one of the major and the most prevalent pulmonary disease without a cure. It is important to monitor the symptoms and the progression of COPD. Therefore, we have developed a wearable multi-sensory T-shirt, called PNEUMON-T, which is designed to monitor and assess dyspnea events in people suffering from COPD. The PNEUMON-T is equipped with the following sensors; Electrocardiogram (ECG), Electrodermal Activity (EDA), Electromyogram (EMG), Breathing Band, Oximeter, and Microphones. All sensors apart from the oximeter and EMG are attached to the T-shirt. The sensors are connected with the base station, which transmits the data to the PC via Bluetooth. We have utilized advanced machine learning techniques to accurately recognize and assess dyspnea events and provide personalized feedback to the user.
